Stallone, Seagal, Zwargennegger, blah, blah. Those aren’t “Actors” – they’re human comic-book stars w/ good bods and good looks. How old are you – 10?

In my opinion Stallone should be awarded the best actor award. Nobody in the whole world would play rocky as good as he was. Best Pircture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Support Actor. Five Oscars for Rocky.

Taxi driver isn’t that great. It’s good but not super amazing. Rocky was super inspirational. Emotional appeal always trumps anything else.

Honestly, 1976 was a hard year to determine which movie was the best. I’ve watched all the nominated movies of this year and they were all deserving. But dammit, the directing oscar should’ve gone to Martin Scorsese. He should have 5 oscars underneath his belt. Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and The Departed, which wasnt even his best movie. Scorsese is King!

I’ve always found the awards to Rocky for Best Director and Film Editing quite ok. But, best picture?? I think they should have awarded All The Presidents Men.
And another movie with Dustin Hoffman that same year, Marathon Man, could won something.
